Timber Façade Cladding
A timber façade is far more than a matter of looks: fitted as a ventilated, rear-vented façade, it protects the masonry from rain, wind and sun for decades. The air gap behind the cladding reliably draws moisture away and keeps the wall healthy and long-lasting. We work with carefully selected woods such as larch, Douglas fir and thermally modified timber – left raw to weather to a natural silver-grey, or pre-finished in the colour of your choice.

Larch, Douglas fir and thermally modified timber are the most popular choices, as they are naturally weather-resistant. The ideal species and finish depend on the look you want, the exposure and how much maintenance you prefer – we work that out together during the consultation.
A ventilated timber façade is surprisingly easy to live with. Left untreated, the wood weathers to a natural, elegant silver-grey without losing any of its protective function. If you want a lasting colour, the glaze is simply refreshed every few years depending on exposure.
Yes. Timber-frame construction is light, structurally efficient and quick to erect – ideal for added storeys and extensions. We fit the matching timber façade at the same time, so old and new form a single, coherent whole.
